The orthopedic surgery includes the surgical techniques on bones, joints, tendons, ligaments and muscles. It plays a significant role in trauma surgery. The Veterinary Clinic Stuttgart is prepared to provide intensive care also to patients after serious emergency cases both day and night.
Fracture operations are performed at the Veterinary Clinic Stuttgart according to biological criteria with the newest implants, so-called stable-angle plates and screws.
These implants, due to other transmission of force, are tear-off-resistant and also rarely lead to complications.
Thus, we act according to biological criteria and, if possible, using minimally invasive techniques. The fracture site is not opened, which has significant advantages when compared to the “open” operation.
But also in specific situations we use external fixators from time to time.
