“Ectopic ureters” is the term used to understand a congenital disease by which the ureter does not enter the urinary bladder in the correct position. This problems leads to dribbling urine (urinary incontinence), especially in female dogs.
The most frequent form of this disease can be treated in our clinic with the help of a minimally invasive endoscopic operation using a laser.
After a corresponding preliminary examination using ultrasound and contrast radiography or endoscopy, a diagnosis can be set and a decision can be made if a minimally invasive treatment is possible.
The endoscopic operation is performed on an outpatient basis and as opposed to traditional, very costly operation, it is associated with only a minimum burden on dogs.
