X-ray

The clinic has two modern digital X-ray units.

In case of diseases of the skeletal system, X-ray diagnostics often lead directly to diagnosis. The following relevant examples can be mentioned: bone fractures, joint diseases or also inflammations in the spinal disc and the neighboring vertebral body (discospondylitis).

In internal medicine, X-ray images provide a valuable overview of organs in the thoracic and abdominal cavities. Thereby, the X-ray image should always be produced on two planes (in lateral and dorsal positions). In case of specific questions, special contrast medium examinations are performed. Their aim is, for example, to provide better radiographic presentation of the urethra and ureter.
